Shaun Cody Had Lumbar Microdiscectomy with Dr. Robert Watkins IV

I knew I had to do something about my back. I had injured myself multiple times and the pain was starting to affect my performance and just my day-to-day life. Dr. Watkins took care of the problem and I feel like I owe the man a lot.

I hurt myself a lot while playing. Like, for example, I had broken ribs at one point and a punctured lung and of course I was in a lot of pain. I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Robert Watkins to help me figure out what I could do about all this back pain I was experiencing. I was told after an examination that having a back surgery would be the best way to go for me as an individual and as a man with a career doing I do.

So, I was scheduled for microscopic lumbar discectomy. I learned that it meant that the spine would be relieved of pressure, which, in turn, would lead to no more pain. That’s all I needed, honestly, to know that the pain would be gone. My back had been through so much that I kind of expected such outcome. I am very glad to have worked with Dr. Watkins who understood my needs and made sure my recovery was a successful one.
