John Martin Had Lumbar Microdiscectomy with Dr. Robert Watkins IV

Let me just say that Dr. Watkins is amazing at what he does. Sure, I had only heard good things about him prior to us working together but you never know for sure because people say stuff for many different reasons. I'm happy to confirm that he's great.

My injury didn’t sit right with me so I had an appointment with Dr. Watkins at Marina Hospital to have it properly checked out. Unfortunately, I was right and I learned after inspection that I was going to have surgery for a herniated disc in my lower back. However, Dr. Watkins assured me that the procedure was nothing to be worried about at all.

He told me that it was a relatively easy intervention and it should go smoothly. He was in charge of it and it was just like he said it would be. I got through it just fine. I am really thankful to Dr. Watkins for just being there for me through this whole thing and not just as a surgeon, although he excels at that too. I was in rehab for a while then but I gradually grew more excited as my strength was coming back to me.
