Eric Chavez Had Back Rehabilitation with Dr. Robert Watkins IV
What stuck with me from my experience at Marina Hospital Spine Center is the absolute importance of sticking to that which was discussed with your doctor. Rehab is essential in making the best out of the surgery. I kind of had a hard time accepting that but I know better now.
Patience is not exactly my strong suit. I love what I do and I want to do a good job, but it is so hard to sort of go through the rehabilitation period. Of course, I want to completely recover, I’m just saying that for someone like me that is a bit difficult. I can only imagine there are plenty like me, but I’m lucky to have Dr. Watkins on my side to sort of put me back on track.
I had back surgery at Marina Hospital and it went great, what I find challenging is to sort of stick to the plan after the surgery. I try to do my best but if I’m told that I would need to rest for four months, I want to do it in three. Call it stubbornness, but I’m really struggling with it. The instructions and the support from Dr. Watkins had been a great help in my situation.
