What are the symptoms of a blocked tear duct?

Several symptoms can be linked to a blocked tear duct. If you report one or some of them, you should consult an ophthalmologist.

Some of the symptoms of a blocked tear duct are:

  • blurred vision
  • eye discharge
  • crusting
  • excessive tearing
  • redness
  • swelling

If these symptoms persist, it’s necessary to consult a doctor. You might be able to access alternative treatments, or you might qualify for surgery.
