I had to see Dr. Watkins because of an injury. I hurt myself while playing and even if it didn’t seem as bad as other injuries in the moment, as time went on, I started to feel this pain in my back.

It turns out that I had bruised my spinal cord. Dr. Watkins, who is a spine expert at the Marina Spine Center showed me the X-ray and he told me more about my condition. I really appreciate the way he carries out his consultations. It is obvious that he would want his patients to make an informed decision. For me, I think I’m going to have to stay put for a bit and figure out how to work through this. My team is also very supportive so that’s a relief.
