John D. Had Laminectomy with Dr.

Dr. Watkins, Sr., is an excellent, excellent surgeon. He has saved my life. I have zero pain. After three days in the hospital, I left with no pain medication at all, and I haven't used it ever since. It's been approximately seven weeks since surgery.

From severe pain to zero pain — that was my own personal experience after undergoing triple laminectomy with Dr. Robert Watkins III. I knew I had problems with a vertebral disc, as well as bone spurs. For a long time, I did all the stupid things you can do when you’re in pain. I guess I was trying to "tough it all out" but that didn't work. In fact, by the time I came for a preoperative appointment, I had to go to the doctor's office in a wheelchair. By waiting, I had made it so much worse. They had to perform a triple laminectomy. In this procedure, there’s a piece of bone that is removed from a vertebra. This relieves pressure on a nerve that runs through a channel inside. The entire intervention was smooth. I’m glad it happened finally. I still have no logical explanation for why I let it get so bad.
