Vernon Williams, M.D.
Dr. Vernon B. Williams specializes in neurology and pain management, with emphasis on conditions of the spine and neck, electromyography, and sports concussions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and subsequently completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Finally, the physician underwent a residency program in Neurology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. As for his clinical fellowship, it was completed in Baltimore, at the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Division of Pain Medicine at John Hopkins Hospital. Currently, Dr. Vernon B. Williams is the Director of the Kerlan-Jobe Center for Sports Neurology. He developed a multidisciplinary pain program under the Pain Management umbrella at KJOC.
He is a member of numerous societies and associations, including the American Academy of Neurology - Sports Neurology Section, the American Academy of Neurology Interventional Neurology Section, the California Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Brain Injury Society, and the North American Neuromodulation Society. Furthermore, the medical professional is Sports Neurology Consultant for the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Los Angeles Sparks. For 3 years in a row, Dr. Vernon B. Williams has been selected as a Super Doctor in Sports Medicine and Neurology. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, which he earned from the University of Michigan in 1989. Before practicing in California, he had a medical license for Maryland and Connecticut.
