
Stephen Lombardo, M.D.
With over 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Stephen Lombardo is one of the orthopedics specialists currently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky in 1967 and completed his internship at San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center in 1968 and his residency at the University of Southern California in 1974. Subsequently, the physician underwent fellowship training at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, which he finished in 1975. Dr. Stephen Lombardo is a distinguished member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Furthermore, he is the Orthopaedic Consultant of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Over the decades, the physician has been the recipient of numerous awards, such as the Super Doctor, Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery, the Knee Surgeon and Specialist to Know, Becker's Spine Review, and the Orthopedic Surgeon to Know, Becker's Spine Review. Dr. Stephen Lombardo specializes in sports medicine, namely in shoulder, elbow, and knees procedures. He is a former president of the NBA Team Physician Society and NHL Team Physician Society. The physician has authored over 50 publications and facilitated more than 100 lectures. Dr. Stephen Lombardo also has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, which he earned from Amherst College in 1963. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
