
Sam Bakshian, M.D.
Dr. Sam Bakshian is a distinguished member of the North American Spine Society, the California Orthopedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He specializes in spinal surgery that relieves pressure and restores stability to the spine, treating a wide array of pathologic conditions of the spine, including spinal tumors, fractures, deformity, degenerative issues, and complex revisions. The surgeon uses the latest approaches in minimally invasive spinal surgery and endoscopic techniques and also performs minimally invasive spinal fusion. Dr. Sam Bakshian specializes in the surgical treatment of disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is continually pioneering and participating in clinical trials, with emphasis on surgical techniques that preserve spinal motion. The surgeon has approximately 20 years of professional experience and he is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Sam Bakshian is the recipient of the CMS Stage 1 EHR award. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, which he earned Cum Laude from UCLA in 1988.
