He has worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has held appointments at LSU and the LA County EMS Agency. He has authored articles on medical informatics, medical education, influenza, polio, nutrition, bioterrorism, disasters, and the future of health care. The physician is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Dr. Paul Katona is a globally recognized authority on bioterrorism, teaches a course at UCLA on terrorism, and has edited the two books on terrorism. He sits on the Boards of the LA Emergency Preparedness Foundation, the Good Hope Medical Foundation, and the University of Florida School of Medicine. Dr. Paul Katona has over 45 years of professional experience and before practicing in California, he had a medical license for Georgia.
