Peter Chen, M.D.



Specializing in critical care and pulmonology, Dr. Peter Chen is currently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Peter Chen is a member of the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology's editorial board and a peer reviewer for a number of scholarly publications. Before practicing medicine in California, he had medical licenses for Texas and Washington. As director of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he leads a faculty of 16.

The physician joined Cedars-Sinai in 2013, after being on faculty in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington, where he completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship in 2005. Dr. Peter Chen has been a member of the American Thoracic Society since 2005.
