Nicholas D. Altman, M.D.
Dr. Nicholas Altman practices emergency medicine and is currently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. He graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his residency at Bellevue Hospital Center. The physician has been in practice for approximately 10 years. Dr. Nicholas Altman oversees all emergency cases involving cardiac distress, trauma, fractures, lacerations, and other acute or life-threatening conditions. In addition to practicing medicine in California, he also has a medical license for New York and Hawaii. For the last 2 years, Dr. Nicholas Altman has served as a medical consultant in both the medical and legal and entertainment industries.
The physician is fascinated with the resurgence of clinical research into psychedelics and the practice of psychedelic medicine, with a particular interest in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Libera Arts, which he earned from Yale University in 2002. Over the years, Dr. Nicholas Altman has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Alpha Omega Alpha, the Patient and Customer Focus Award from Northwell Health, the Solomon and Dora Shapiro Award for General Excellence in Scholarship and Character, the Louis Sudler Grant, and the Paul K. and Evalyn Cook Richter Fellowship. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
