Michael Port, M.D.
Dr. Michael Port is a double-board certified Pain Management specialist with extensive experience in the treatment of trauma. He is known for his personalized, high detailed approach, capacity to establish a concise diagnosis, and ability to avoid unnecessary medication. The physician is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he returned for his residency in Anesthesia after a surgical internship at the University of California, Irvine. Fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine at the University of Southern California LAC/USC Medical Center, Dr. Michael Port served as a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesiology while training in the Medical and Interventional Management of Acute and Chronic Pain, including treatment of cancer pain at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has over 25 years of professional experience. Dr. Michael Port is a member of the California Society of Anesthesia, the North American Spine Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the International Spine Injection Society. He is also one of the advanced trauma life support instructors who serve as medical advisors and active flight physicians for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Emergency Services Detail/Air Five search and rescue team.
