Jorge Quel, M.D., E.F.A.C.A.A.I.
Dr. Jorge Quel is the Director of the Allergy, Asthma, and Sinus Medical Center of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey and regularly diagnoses and treats numerous allergic conditions. He is the Co-Founder of the Hispanic American Allergy Asthma and Immunology Association and, as Executive Director, has organized patient, as well as physician, education programs nationally and internationally. Furthermore, the physician is a distinguished member of the World Health Organization. Dr. Jorhe Quel supervises the allergy training of physicians from several universities. Appointed as a member of the National Minority Quality Forum, he collaborates with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services on health disparities. The physician is a member of the California Allergy Association, the Los Angeles Allergy Association, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. He has received numerous awards over the years, including honorary appointments to numerous foreign allergy societies.
Dr. Jorge Quel was Director of the Allergy Department at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Director of Allergy Research at Alpha Medical Laboratories in Illinois, and Professor at the Chicago Medical School. He also served as Advisor to the Food and Drug Administration in Washington DC, Advisor The White House, Washington DC, and Governor Appointee to the Board of Medical Quality Assurance in California. He has written various medical articles and co-authored several books. Dr. Jorge Quel trained in pediatric and adult allergy-clinical immunology at several medical universities, such as Ohio State University Hospital, Children’s Hospital in Ohio, University of Illinois, Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital, and UCLA. He also has a Post-Doctoral degree in Allergy from the National Institute of Health, which he was awarded by UCLA. The physician is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
