Jonathan Kanevsky, M.D., FRCSC
Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is currently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. He graduated with honors from McGill University Faculty of Medicine. The surgeon's medical research focuses on scar therapy and the use of medical devices in medicine. Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky is a highly trained plastic surgeon. He became certified by the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. During his time as a resident, he received the Plastic Surgery Foundation Innovation award for a device he developed to minimize scar formation. The physician has published over 30 research papers and presented them at international conferences on plastic surgery. Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky is considered a leader in the field of artificial intelligence in medicine and he is bringing the latest, cutting-edge technology to plastic surgery.
After residency, Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky continued to improve his aesthetic surgery expertise through the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery's credentialed and the University of Southern California's cosmetic surgery fellowship, learning from world-renowned surgeons, including Dr. Grant Stevens, Dr. Jay Calvert, Dr. Luis Macias, Dr. Andrew Ordon, and Dr. Ritu Chopra. The plastic surgeon puts the patient's needs first to deliver natural-looking results. His expertise spans facial plastic surgery, breast surgery, minimally invasive body contouring, laser procedures, and injectables such as neuromodulators and fillers. Outside of the operating room Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky has been participating in humanitarian work, volunteering on medical missions in Guatemala. He has approximately 10 years of professional experience. The surgeon was one of the Aesthetic Surgery Fellow of the Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a year.
