Dr. Jon Greenfield is one of the orthopedic surgeons who are currently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. He graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been in practice for over 40 years. The physician has a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology, which he earned from UCLA in 1969, and a Master of Business Administration in Business, which he received from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School in 1990. Dr. Jon Greenfield also has a Certificate in Accounting from UCLA, which he obtained in 2005. He was the Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Beverly Hills Medical Center, the Medical Director of the Pain Care Center of Midway Hospital Medical Center, Clinic Chief, and Resident Clinic Service at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. At the moment, the physician is a Qualified Medical Examiner at the Center for Orthopedic and Sports Excellence. Prior to practicing in California, Dr. Jon Greenfield had a medical license for Hawaii. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

The physician holds surgical certifications in intradiscal therapy, CO2 laser in arthroscopic surgery, holmium YAG laser in arthroscopic knee surgery, percutaneous nucleotomy, lipotherme laser liposuction, and the SVF investigational development system, which is a type of stem cell rejuvenation therapy. Dr. Jon Greenfield is Medical Director of the Miracle Mile Outpatient Surgery Center in Los Angeles, a team physician for a local high school, and a Qualified Medical Evaluator for industrial injuries in the state of California. He is on the faculty of the University of Southern California Medical School, Physicians Assistant training program. Dr. Jon Greenfield has published research and clinical practice articles in medical journals and has lectured on various topics related to orthopedic medicine and surgery and the management of chronic pain in the United States and Mexico. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the Arthroscopy Board of North America, and the American Academy of Pain Management.
