Jeremy Korman, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Jeremy Korman is the medical director of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital’s bariatric program, Marina Weight Loss Center. Dr. Korman is a leading weight-loss surgeon with extensive clinical experience, and is board-certified in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. Dr. Korman has dedicated his life to the fight against obesity and is committed to helping patients realize the benefits that bariatric surgery provides. Dr. Korman and his exceptional staff believe in not only ensuring that the patient is well prepared for their weight loss procedure, they are also well educated on the steps necessary to produce success. The patient’s success is their success. Dr. Korman earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Cornell University and his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and completed his general surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Since completing a fellowship in laparoscopic general surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the United States' preeminent medical facilities, Dr. Korman has performed thousands of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Korman has been a member of research teams that have published articles on a variety of surgical topics in several peer-reviewed journals. He continues to be involved in research and the development of innovative weight-loss surgery procedures.
