
Jason Cohen, M.D.
Dr. Jason Cohen is the founding and managing partner of The Surgery Group of Los Angeles. He is a surgical oncologist and general surgeon who has been affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital since 2001. The physician has vast expertise in robotic surgery, laparoscopy, and other minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Jason Cohen's specialty concerns tumors of the thyroid and parathyroid glands and he is at the forefront of thyroid cancer treatment and prevention. He strongly emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in his care of patients. The surgeon is serving his second term on the Cedars-Sinai Medical Executive Committee and has been elected Treasurer.
Dr. Jason Choen helped create the Pre-Med Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which he now runs as the Chief Medical Advisor. He strives to use minimally invasive surgery as a way to provide his patients with a treatment option that reduces scarring and speeds up recovery time. Dr. Jason Cohen has written for numerous medical journals and his volunteer efforts have taken him to South America and as far as Africa, where he served as Volunteer House Officer of the Mission Hospital in Kikuyu, Kenya. Before practicing in California, he had a medical license for New York. Dr. Jason Cohen is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the recipient of the Regional Top Doctor by Castle Connolly award. He has over 30 years of professional experience.
