Dr. Edward Nomoto is a spine surgeon with a specialty in minimally invasive techniques to correct spine deformities and disorders. The physician completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders, where he participated in clinical research to advance minimally invasive spine procedures. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Edward Nomoto completed medical school at Stanford University and, subsequently, his residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He is also a co-author of a spine-surgery textbook chapter on minimally invasive surgical techniques. The surgeon is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopædic Surgeons, and the Society of Lateral Access Surgery, as well as a candidate member of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Dr. Edward Nomoto's expertise includes a wide range of surgical interventions to treat the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His special interests include minimally invasive techniques and their application in complex reconstructive techniques for the cervical spine, adult and pediatric spinal deformity, and degenerative scoliosis. The surgeon believes in a patient-centered approach with patient education and understanding as key components to the medical decision-making process. Dr. Edward Nomoto participates in global outreach programs to provide care in underserved regions of the world. He also continues to pursue his passion for education by training residents and fellows as well as other surgeons. The physician also has a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology: Neuroscience, which he earned in 1999 from the University of California, Berkley.
