Marina Del Rey Hospital, an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai Health System, is asking for the community’s help in stocking its “Clothes Closet”, which provides clothing and footwear for patients in need. Clothing is sometimes destroyed or discarded when patients are admitted, and due to financial or other hardships, some patients are in need of clean clothing upon being discharged. The "Clothes Closet" at Marina Del Rey Hospital that supplies these items is reliant on community donations and it is getting low on stock.
The hospital is currently seeking the following donations:
Men's pants in all sizes, including sweat pants, casual pants, jeans and shorts.
Men's shirts in all sizes, including t-shirts and casual shirts. No dress shirts please.
Women's pants in all sizes, including elastic waisted pants, casual pants, jeans, and capris. No dress pants and no dresses please.
Women's tops including t-shirts and casual shirts.
Men and women's new undergarments only.
Men and women's shoes in all sizes including sneakers, slip-on shoes, sandals, and flip-flops.
All donated items must be washed and in good condition, and preferably folded to facilitate immediate stocking and distribution.
Donated items may be dropped off at Marina Del Rey Hospital to the attention of Tom Dixon. For more information about donating to the "Clothes Closet", please contact Tom Dixon at 310-577-5534 or via email.
