When New York Giants running back David Wilson injured his neck earlier in the 2013 NFL season, the team and its fans were afraid he needed surgery and his season was over. But a trip to Marina Del Rey Hospital has shown that Wilson won't need surgery right now, and his team is optimistic that he could be back before the end of the year.

"Luckily for David, his neck doesn't need to be operated on," said Dr. Robert Watkins IV, who examined Wilson. "The Giants have a great medical program, and with some physical therapy and other non-surgery treatments, David should be able to resume his career once he's recovered, and I'm sure the Giants will benefit from his healthy presence in the roster."
