When can I remove my bandages after hand surgery?

Before you are discharged, we will tell you when it’s safe to remove your bandages following this surgery.

It’s important to follow your doctor’s aftercare recommendations, including the guidelines on how to manage your bandages.

Your doctor will tell you when it’s safe to remove the bandages after hand reconstructive surgery. Until then, you have to keep them clean and dry. Following minor procedures, the bandages are usually removed after a week.
