What warning signs should I look out for after hand surgery?

Some postoperative symptoms are expected after hand surgery. There are nonetheless some you should watch out for as they might indicate complications.

Following a hand surgery, you should call your doctor if you have any of these symptoms:

  • fever
  • redness
  • increasing numbness or tingling
  • increasing pain
  • abnormal skin color
  • bleeding
  • vomiting
