What warning signs should I look out for after hand surgery?

Some postoperative symptoms are expected after hand surgery. There are nonetheless some you should watch out for as they might indicate complications.

Following hand reconstructive surgery, you should call your doctor if you have any of these symptoms:

  • fever
  • redness
  • increasing numbness or tingling
  • increasing pain
  • abnormal skin color
  • bleeding
  • vomiting
