What tests are required prior to the suprapubic cystostomy surgery?

Your doctor will tell you what preoperative tests are required prior to the surgery after establishing that this is the right treatment option for you.

Before suprapubic cystostomy, the patient will need to have a physical exam and a series of tests such as:

  • blood tests
  • urine tests
  • imaging scans

Based on the results of these tests, your doctor will be able to provide you with the most suitable treatment option.
