What should I tell my doctor before the ureteroplasty surgery?

Your doctor will ask you several questions before the surgery in order to understand more about your general health and avoid any postsurgical risks.

Tell your doctor if you are taking any medications especially blood thinners that might cause bleeding problems during the intervention. It’s also important to tell your doctor if you are taking any supplements because you might need to stop the intake several days before the surgery.

You will be instructed how to prepare your bowel for ureteroplasty and you will be told when you should stop eating and drinking before the procedure.
