What should I do on the day of my surgery?

It is recommended to use antibacterial soap and lotion which will protect your skin for 24 hours.

There are several aspects patients need to take into account on the day of their surgery. Firstly, you must not drink any type of alcoholic beverage before the intervention. If you are a woman, you should tie your hair in a way that is comfortable for you when you lie down on the operating table. Additionally, you are not allowed to wear jewelry or make-up.

Another very important aspect you must consider is manicure. The anesthesiologist will ask you to get your nails cleaned in order to be able to measure your oxygen level while you are sedated.

Lastly, you should inform your doctor about the medication you take, even though you might have already done it, to make sure that it will not interfere with the surgical intervention in any way.
