What happens after the eyelid reconstructive procedure?

We will provide you specific guidelines for each stage of your recovery and tell you what you should expect right after the surgery.

Following an eyelid reconstructive surgery, you might experience swelling or bruising. Don’t worry, these are common effects. When you sleep, you should keep your head in a slightly elevated position to mitigate the swelling. The ideal position is a 30-degree angle. It is also useful to apply ice compresses in order to reduce the swelling and bruising.

For the pain, your doctor will be able to prescribe you low-dose narcotic medication.
