What are the common recommendations after the rectal resection surgery?

We will make sure you get all the information you need before you are discharged and you can start your home recovery.

After rectal resection, it’s normal to feel fatigue. Your body now needs time to heal and regain its strength. As a general rule, it’s recommended to avoid strenuous activities during the first 2 weeks after the surgery.

You will probably not have any major dietary restrictions following the intervention, but it is important to talk with your doctor about your eating habits before you are discharged.
