Is there anything that might prevent me from having artificial disc replacement?

There are certain instances when patients don’t qualify for this procedure. We will perform the necessary tests to make sure this is not your case before we decide to proceed with artificial disc replacement.

Some diseases might prevent you from undergoing cervical artificial disc replacement. It’s also possible that the body rejects the implant.

Patients with autoimmune diseases or other bone conditions that might impair the results of the surgery should approach this option carefully.

In rare cases, it is also possible that the body rejects the implant or have a negative reaction to it due to its composition.

Patients whose damage is too severe might also not qualify for this procedure.
