Is there anything I must tell my doctor before the laminectomy?

During your first visit, your doctor will have a long list of questions regarding your medical history and any ongoing medication.

We have to know every important fact from your medical history that might lead to complications during or after laminectomy. Your doctor will ask you if you have had other interventions or you suffer from any chronical condition that requires constant medication. It is important to know these things because it allows us to assess the risks of the surgery based on your individual case.

Tell your doctor if you’ve had any other health issues in the days preceding the surgery and what type of medications you’ve taken.
