How will I feel after the spinal fusion?
After any type of intervention, it is normal to feel differently. You will have limited mobility and some degree of pain or discomfort.
Following spinal fusion, you will spend several days in the hospital until you are strong enough to start recovering at home.
You will have machines connected to your body to monitor your heart, receive fluids and medicine. You might also have an epidural tube for pain medicines. A catheter for urine will be necessary for the first two days following the surgery when you are required to stay in bed so your back starts healing.
