How will I feel after the hand reconstructive procedure?

We will provide you with more information about this surgery during your initial consultation.

Because we want our patients to be fully prepared for this intervention, we take our time to tell them everything they need to know about the steps of hand reconstruction, its benefits, and the potential complications.

You will feel some pain and experience swelling after the surgery, but your doctor will provide you with all the necessary indications in order to control the discomfort. You should keep your hand elevated to minimize the swelling and pain. It’s also important to keep the unaffected joints moving in order to prevent stiffness.
