How will I feel after hemicolectomy?

It is normal to feel some pain after this surgery, but don’t worry, we will help you manage this symptom.

After the hemicolectomy, you will be taken to the recovery room. When you wake up here, you will feel some discomfort, but you will receive the proper medication to alleviate your symptoms. Nausea and soreness are also normal after this surgery. Our medical staff will promptly help you manage your post-operative symptoms.

Your hospital stay will depend on how soon you start recovering. You can be discharged in just a couple of days or you might have to spend 1- 2 weeks in the hospital.
