How long does it take to recover from a balloon sinus surgery?

Most patients are able to return to their daily activities within a day or two after the procedure.

You will be provided with instructions that you need to follow precisely in order to achieve a faster and smoother recovery after balloon sinus surgery. Avoid blowing your nose for at least 24 hours. Also, high demanding activities that elevate your heart rate should be avoided during the first week.

Consult your doctor before you take any over-the-counter pain reliever. You will be prescribed medication that helps prevent infection as well as a saline solution to rinse your nasal passages for the first couple of days after the procedure.
