After suprapubic cystostomy make sure you have an adequate daily fluid intake from 2 to 3 l, to encourage drainage and prevent urinary infections. Avoid bladder-irritating drinks like alcohol, coffee, tea, and fizzy beverages, drink water, milk and fresh juices and include soup in your daily diet.
