Are check-ups compulsory after pacemaker implantation?
It is important to follow-up with your doctor periodically after a pacemaker implantation.
Check-ups are essential after you have had a pacemaker implantation. The first one will take place 4-6 weeks after the surgery. Then, you’ll need to follow up every 3 to 12 months.
During these meetings, your doctor will be able to evaluate the outcome of your surgery and provide you with the most appropriate guidelines.
You will learn what contraindications and recommendations apply to each stage of your recovery at your follow-up appointments.
