Am I allowed to eat or drink on the day of the PVA surgery?

Your doctor will tell you how you should prepare for this surgery and provide you with clear indications regarding your diet.

Generally, patients are required to stop eating or drinking several hours before any procedure that involves anesthesia. The same applies to PVA; your doctor will tell you when you should stop eating or drinking before the procedure.

On the morning of the intervention, you can take your medication with sips of water. You should do this approximately six hours before the procedure. You must avoid drinking other liquids besides water on the day of the surgery.
